Project Manager (Temporary)
Project Length: Temporary – Up to 5 months [through January 2026]
Hours Requirements: Minimum of 40 hours per week
Working Time Zone Requirements: East coast to Pacific coast hours
Qualifications: Minimum 3-4 years project management experience and minimum 2 years experience specifically in high volume production / agency environment
The Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting the execution and delivery of content across Freethink’s core workstreams—Video, Articles, Newsletters, Social Posts, and Events to support a major philanthropic client account. This position is responsible for internal project tracking, documentation, and team coordination across platforms including ClickUp, Workfront, and Google Drive.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, process-savvy, a systems thinker, and adept at managing shifting priorities across multiple content types and multiple platforms
Responsibilities:
- Assist with tracking project timelines, deliverables, and progress across content teams
- Support meeting scheduling & admin, preparing read-outs and follow-ups
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and content calendars across platforms
- Internally coordinate communication and task assignments between departments
- Support implementation of processes and systems that improve project efficiency
- Execute across multiple workstreams within the client account — including sports and entertainment (NFL), brand publications, events and summits, and special projects — in a highly cross-functional capacity.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with project management tools like ClickUp (or a willingness to learn)
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with a proactive approach
- Interest in content production and digital media workflows
Detailed Responsibilities:
1. Project Management 65%
Clickup [Freethink internal project management system]
- Maintain ClickUp projects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring up-to-date timelines, deliverables, and statuses.
- Assist the PSM by acting as a junior “traffic coordinator” — flagging upcoming deadlines, identifying needed schedule changes, and communicating those updates to the team.
- Ensure all task assignments and deadlines are accurate across content types, following up with internal team members and vendors as needed.
- Add relevant metadata from Workfront into ClickUp as needed.
Workfront [external project management system]
- Deliver assets [drafts, final files] and follow up for feedback as needed, under the guidance of the PSM.
- Monitor Workfront activity, flagging blockers, discrepancies, or questions to the PSM for resolution.
Google Drive [internal file sharing system]
- Support PSM in updating key internal trackers and account-wide Google Drive folders.
2. Stakeholder Communications & Administrative Support 35%
- Support meeting scheduling for internal leads and external partners, enabling new work to launch successfully. Maintain excellent client service and knowledge sharing in a highly matrixed environment.
- Prepare read-outs and execute follow-ups as needed under guidance of PSM.
- Actively monitor and engage on project Slack channels, handling routine tasks and follow-ups.
- Support PSM in elevating knowledge sharing processes and documentation.
- Carry out recurring company-wide PSM tasks.
