About the Role

As a Supervising Creative Producer, you will produce sponsored campaigns under Freethink’s Creative Studio, overseeing the creative strategy across each partnership. These will include content for Freethink.com and Bigthink.com, as well as white label partner content. You will work closely with the wider Studio team, as well as with the Executive Creative Director and Executive Producer on strategy and performance. You will have a passion for creating compelling, engaging and effective digital content, with extensive experience in multiple journalistic formats - including long-form documentaries, short-form social videos, written features and everything in between.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as creative lead for key partnership campaigns - with a focus on non-profit organizations creating social change content
  • Provide creative input into partnership proposals, where needed.
  • Analyze performance data and use it to inform creative decisions.
  • Use client management skills to act as a liaison between our partners and internal team
  • Oversee the creative execution of all content products - including videos, written articles, social content, content hubs, events - and provide feedback and guidance to team members
  • Review story treatments, storyboards, and pre-production deliverables.
  • Keep teams in sync with the proposed timelines, brand guidelines, and project budgets
  • Collaborate with the Publishing team to integrate best practices and insights into future work.
  • Anticipate partner feedback and goals, and adjust strategy accordingly
  • Constantly be looking to innovate and bring fresh, creative ideas to the table
  • Assess and respond to difficult partner feedback with a positive, solution-focused mindset

What You’ll Need:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale creative projects
  • Experience collaborating with clients
  • Experience in both editorial and commercial roles is preferred
  • Seasoned knowledge of international and remote production
  • Proven track record supervising the creation of various content types - video, written and social
  • Keen understanding of various social platforms and knowledge of what content works best on each
  • Ability to craft a rough idea into engaging, high-performing content
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Pro-active leadership approach
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in where needed
  • Ability to be passionate about the work without being precious. Must be discerning in how/where you focus your efforts for maximum impact
  • Openness to feedback and challenge
  • A desire for continuous learning and improvement

What You’ll Get:

  • Work from home flexibility: We’ve been remote first since inception.
  • Growth and mentorship: Join a supportive, collaborative team with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced startup environment.
